Rea’s Imola double cements top spot

Superbikes: World champion Jonathan Rea strengthened his position at the top of the standings by completing a double at Imola yesterday.

The Northern Irishman followed up his triumph in Saturday’s opener with another impressive display to equal Carl Fogarty’s record for the most wins (59) in the championship. Chaz Davies was second with Tom Sykes in third.
