Dressed to impress: Cannes festival kicks off second week with Spike Lee drama

Model Natasha Poly poses for photograph­ers upon arrival at the premiere of the film Blackkklan­sman at the 71st Cannes internatio­nal film festival. The Spike Lee film, starring John David Washington, Topher Grace and Adam Driver, follows the story of the first African-american police officer in Colorado working undercover to infiltrate the Ku Klux Klan in 1979. The festival opened with Asghar Farhadi’s psychologi­cal thriller Everybody Knows, starring Javier Bardem, Penélope Cruz and Ricardo Darín and will end on Saturday, May 19, with a screening of Terry Gilliam’s film, The Man Who Killed Don Quixote.
