Dressed to impress: Cannes festival kicks off second week with Spike Lee drama

The Spike Lee film, starring John David Washington, Topher Grace and Adam Driver, follows the story of the first African-american police officer in Colorado working undercover to infiltrate the Ku Klux Klan in 1979. The festival opened with Asghar Farhadi’s psychological thriller Everybody Knows, starring Javier Bardem, Penélope Cruz and Ricardo Darín and will end on Saturday, May 19, with a screening of Terry Gilliam’s film, The Man Who Killed Don Quixote.
