Teenager injured after car crashes into food shop

A teenager was hurt when a car crashed into a shop in Renfrew.

The Volkswagen Golf smashed into the Ferry Nice Food shop on Ferry Road at around 6:40pm on Monday. A teenage passenger was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. His injuries are not thought to be a serious.

The driver of the car, aged 29, was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital where he was released after treatment.
