Emotional finale

Children appearing with departing players as the teams took the pitch seemed to set the tone for the afternoon. Maybe the warm Perth sunshine caused confusion and the players thought they were already on holiday.

It was an emotional day with three cup-winning heroes heading for pastures new. All have written their names into Saints history and folklore. Alan Mannus will be remembered as one of our great goalkeepers of the last 50 years. Chris Millar at his best made Saints tick for a number of seasons. Steven Maclean’s goal celebrations will live long in the memory. All three have provided some brilliant memories. Hope they enjoy looking back on their playing days in Perth. Roll on next season.
