Glorious revolution

Most promoted teams would regard staying in the higher league as the priority. While Hibs had loftier aspirations than survival, to have gone into the penultimate match of the season with an opportunity to finish second was a momentous achievement. That we did so playing such exciting football right through the campaign has further strengthened the bond between the club and support, and the revolution started on the day Leeann Dempster walked through the door has completely transformed Hibernian.

The final match encapsulated the wonderful qualities (and occasional flaws) of this side. Few teams could lift themselves from 5-3 down having had a 3-0 lead, but Neil’s Lennon’s team doesn’t give up and gave us a finale to remember.
