Motorcycli­st killed in crash named by police

The family of a biker killed in a road collision say they are “devastated” by the loss of the “larger than life character”. Hugh Hannah, from Dumfries, was riding a black Yamaha which was involved in a collision with a Mini One on the A701 near Moffat at around 12:30pm on Sunday.

Police on Wednesday confirmed the 34-yearold’s identity as his family paid tribute to him.

The family said he spent what spare time he had on his Yamaha R6 motorcycle which was his pride and joy. He lived with his fiancee and son.
