Man denies false fraud claims totalling £7,000

A man will appear in court charged with defrauding his bank of almost £7,000 by claiming to have been the victim of scams.

Adam Fraser, 23, denied accusation­s he falsely told fraud detection teams at Lloyds Banking Group that his Bank of Scotland card had been used repeatedly without his knowledge at Dundee Sheriff Court.

Prosecutor­s allege Mr Fraser prompted the bank reimburse him for a total of £6,895.38 for what he claimed were illegitima­te transactio­ns.

Mr Fraser has been ordered to appear at a pretrial hearing in July.
