Murder attempt inquiry as three hurt in flat attack

A brawl in a Glasgow flat has left a man critically ill in hospital and two other people injured.

Police were called to Colston Road, in the Springburn area, at about 4:30am on Saturday.

A 39-year-old man was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary, where his condition is described as “critical but stable”.

Officers are treating the attack on him as attempted murder.

A 44-year-old man and a 41-year-old woman were also taken by ambulance to the hospital for treatment.

Police Scotland said that inquiries are ongoing.
