Teenage driver seriously hurt after car smash

A teenage driver was seriously injured after crashing his car in a country lane. The unclassified Cruden Bay to Gask road near North Teuchan in Aberdeenshire was closed for hours as police investigated the crash at about 10:50pm on Saturday. The 17-year-old driver of a white Vauxhall Corsa was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary with serious injuries. Police appealed for witnesses and anyone with information can contact officers on 101 quoting reference number 5302 of May 19.
