0 Hilary Roberts: ‘Ramping up our plans for growth’ Hrcrecruitmenthasexpanded its operations in the Central Belt by taking new office space, adding staff and growing its sector specialisms.

Joe Mcshane, the founder and director of Edinburghbased Application Recruitment, has re-joined HRC to lead its professional services divisions in Edinburgh and Glasgow. Mcshane has provided consultancy to the firm in recent years and was previously its operations director between 2006 and 2008.

Two of his Application Recruitment colleagues have also made the move, with Kirsty Mcfarlane appointed recruitment manager and Hollie Mcknight as a consultant. It takes the headcount in Edinburgh to six, less than a year after the office was opened.

Meanwhile, the HRC team in the capital has re-located to Application Recruitment’s office on Atholl Place, moving from Rutland Square. HRC’S overall headcount has increased to 60, from 45 this time last year. It recently moved to a larger office in Glasgow, taking almost 5,200 square feet at 180 St Vincent Street.

Hilary Roberts, founder and CEO of HRC, said: “This is an exciting time for HRC Recruitment as we ramp up our plans for growth across the country.

“Our Edinburgh operation has gone from strength to strength since it opened last year, and this latest move gives us even more room for expansion in the city.” Mcshane said: “HRC Recruitment has historically been very strong on the west coast and there’s a big opportunity to grow in Edinburgh.

“Demand for professional services staff is robust across the board and we’re working with our clients to identify the best available talent.”

Application will continue to trade under the leadership of Tracey Exton.
