Rae, Ross in frame for Sunderland job

Former Rangers midfielder Alex Rae has been backed in to favourite by some bookmakers to become the new Sunderland manager, while St Mirren boss Jack Ross has also emerged as a contender.

Rae played more than 100 games for the Wearside club from 1996 to 2001.
