UK aid to help stop Ebola outbreak
The UK is providing £5 million to help tackle the Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo, International Development Secretary Penny Mordaunt will announce today.
The aid will help the World Health Organisation monitor the spread of the disease, diagnose cases, trace people at risk, support the vaccination campaign, and treat the sick.
A vaccination campaign was launched this week in an attempt to halt the spread of the virus, which has killed at least 27 people.
