Two airlifted after collision on rural road
A man and a woman were airlifted to hospital after a single-car crash in south west Scotland.
Emergency services were called to the incident on the B7085 Whauphill to Port William road near Airyhassen at about 7:55am yesterday.
Drivers were asked to avoid the area if possible while investigations into the cause were carried out throughout the day.
A police spokesman said a man and a woman were taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow for treatment. The extent of their injuries is not known.
