Marking 70 years of care: Health secretary launches countdown to NHS birthday milestone

Health secretary Shona Robison visited the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh yesterday to launch the six-week countdown to the 70th anniversary of the NHS in Scotland.

Ms Robison met Lisa Shoate and her second child Findlay, who was born at the Birth Centre yesterday.

The minister was also due to meet Gavin Scott, who was born on the day the NHS was formed on 5 July, 1948.
