10.45am: “What impact could Brexit have on lamb trade and marketing?” chaired by John Fyall, NSA Scotland chairman. Speakers include Quality Meat Scotland chairman Jim Mclaren, Isla Roebuck of Dunbia/dawn Meats, Scottish Institute of Auctioneer­s & Appraisers president Scott Donaldson, and AHDB Beef & Lamb Halal manager Awal Fuseini. 12 noon: British Wool chairman Trevor Richards will give a ten-minute introducti­on to British Wool’s new entrant scheme followed by a seminar on “Next Generation – Next Chapter”, chaired by Jennifer Craig an NSA next generation ambassador. Speakers include NSA Scotland committee members and participan­ts in the NSA Next Generation Ambassador programme in recent years Rory Gregor, Clarke Hibberd and Alister Watson. 1pm: Steve Raphael of Academy Vets in Stranraer chairs a session on the “Resilience of the national sheep flock to sheep diseases”. Speakers include Dr Christina Cousens of Moredun and Marion Mcmillan and Heather Stevenson, veterinary investigat­ion officers for SAC Consulting. 2.15pm: “What impact could Brexit have on future support” chaired by NSA Scotland developmen­t officer, George Milne. Speakers include David Barnes, national adviser on agricultur­e policy at Scottish Government, Phil Stocker, NSA chief executive, and Jeremy Moody, CAAV secretary and adviser. The workshops will include a veterinary session on lameness in sheep
