The New York Yankees made franchise history with another home-run laden victory as they downed the Texas Rangers 10-5. The Yankees recorded at least four homers for the third consecutiv­e game – the first time they have ever achieved the feat – when they went deep five times at Globe Life Park. Gleyber Torres, 21, scored two of them with Aaron Judge, Neil Walker and Aaron Hicks, who hit a two-run shot in the ninth, also notching. The victory was the Yankees’ 22nd in their last 26 games and saw them edge a half-game ahead of the nonplaying Boston Red Sox for top spot in the American League East.
