Councillor under fire for BNP links
The Scottish Conservatives yesterday came under fire over their handling of a politician expelled from the party for having links to the BNP.
This week it emerged Stephen Gold sack of North Lanarkshire Council had been listed as the far right BNP’S Scottish security adviser in 2011.
The SNP called for North Lanarkshire Tory group leader Meghan Gallacher to consider her position after Mr Goldsack was given her “full support” after his alleged discriminatory comments about Muslims over a planning application for a mosque,
He was alleged to have said “we can’t give more access to these people.” He denies making racist comments.
A Conservative spokesman said: “Cllr Goldsack has been expelled from the party.”
