Police find suspicious device in Street

Bomb squad specialists are probing a suspicious device in Arbroath after Police sealed off a street in the Angus town.

Tayside Police have cordoned off the area at Peasiehill Road as Explosive Ordnance Disposal personnel inspect the unidentified object which was discovered just after noon today.

A police statement said, “A suspected ordnance device was discovered within an industrial estate in Peasiehill Road in Arbroath today at 12.15pm. A cordon has been put in place and there is no wider threat to the public.”
