How many travelers are there who speak Gaelic but not English? We do not need the names in Gaelic or any other language other than English and all this farce with station names is only a waste of public money.

Berlin Yes, why not confuse the paying public even more by inventing your own place names to satisfy a small band – and I mean small – by trying to emulate an ancient folklore with obsolete and probably meaningles­s names, It only encourages the SNP to think this is “the language of Scotland”.

This is exactly how Gaelic should be supported and encouraged – by enthusiast­s spending their own time and money on their hobby to try to engage wider interest. Not by the Scottish Government spending taxpayers’ money ramming an alien language down an unwilling public’s throat.
