Presenter Vick Hope
What’s the last piece of clothing you bought?
Stripy, slouchy, highwaisted trousers from Topshop. They’re statement enough to dress up an otherwise casual outfit, show enough ankle to serve as a great transition piece to spring/summer and so comfortable they’ve become my dance-all-night pants.
What are you addicted to buying?
Women look sensational in strong, tailored trouser suits, and I love the fact that you’ve already got a readymatched outfit. I’ve racked up versions in fuchsia, cornflower blue, sunshine yellow, a sick grey pinstripe one and a couple of crushed velvet shorts suits.
Best ever bargain?
Either a Ghanaian fabric print bomber I got at a garage sale for £4 or a vintage silk embroidered blazer I picked up at a clothes swap.
Who has great style?
Zendaya is a sartorial chameleon. I spend an inordinate amount of time scanning her Instagram to see what she wears next on the red carpet.
Name your favourite high street shop.
If I visit Urban Outfitters, I’ll be able to easily find an outfit that I can vibe with for whatever occasion is calling.
Any fashion disasters you’d care to tell us about?
I am horrendous at dressing appropriately f or the weather. I’m talking about bum-exposing gusts of wind in way-too-flimsy fabrics, rain-drenched hems on floor skimming jumpsuits and the shortest shorts on the coldest shoots.
What’s your favourite item in your wardrobe?
It’s a trainer toss-up, and I’m most attached to the classics: my Adidas Gazelles, Reebok Classics and Nike Air Max. n
