On the run

Locals and tourists are welcome to don their sneakers and take part in Run Edinburgh’s new tours of the city. The hour long, four mile (though it can be personalised) Edinburgh City Highlights tour is £20pp and takes in Calton Hill, Holyrood, the Royal Mile, Grassmarket, Edinburgh Castle and New Town. Alternatively, try the 12-mile two and a half hour long Cobbles, Trails and Beaches tour, £50pp, which passes Duddingston Loch, Portobello Beach, Brunstane Burn and the Innocent Railway. Discounts for groups of four or more.
