The Hour We Knew Nothing of Each Other

-

When he first arrived at the Royal Lyceum, David Greig said he wanted to open up the theatre’s historic stage to the people of Edinburgh; and now, his gifted associate Wils Wilson brings a community cast of 100 on stage in this astonishing piece of wordless theatre by Austrian playwright Peter Handke, first seen in Vienna in 1992, and at the Edinburgh Festival in 1994. Wilson directs, with movement by Janice Parker and music by Michael John Mccarthy, in this unforgettable vision of ordinary humanity, coming and going on a town square, on an ordinary day. Royal Lyceum, Edinburgh, 31 May until 2 June, 0131-248 4848 Joyce Mcmillan
