Motorcyclist in accident airlifted to hospital

A 40-year-old male motorcyclist was airlifted to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee after coming off his bike near Comrie.

The incident happened on the A85 between St Fillans and Comrie around 2pm yesterday. Emergency services and an air ambulance were called to the scene and the man was taken to Ninewells Hospital by helicopter.

A police spokesman said the man’s injuries were not thought to be life-threatening. The road between St Fillans and Comrie was closed while emergency services dealt with the incident.
