China rejects tech allegations

China told the World Trade Organisation’s dispute settlement body yesterday that accusations by the US that Beijing forced companies to hand over technology as the price of doing business in China were groundless.

Both China and the US launched legal complaints at the WTO over the issue earlier this year as tensions have risen.
