Unfit for office
Nicola Sturgeon struts her stuff in Brussels rather than make any effort to defend the wholly misnamed Growth Commission report. She looks to build grievance and hostility for her own independence agenda and now her language becomes more intemperate.
In an interview with the magazine Politico over the weekend, she describes the likes of Boris Johnson, Michael Gove and Jacob Reesmogg as “mad Brexiteers”. Can one even begin to imagine the level of bile and vitriol that would be heaped upon anyone who had the temerity to describe Nicola Sturgeon, John Swinney and Derek Mackay as “mad Nationalists”?
Ms Sturgeon’s use of such language is demeaning to her office and her argument. Once again her behaviour, combined with her policies across education, crime and the police, and the NHS demonstrates her and her party’s unsuitability for high office.
