In-sanitary?

-

A £500,000 project to provide free sanitary products to women from low income households is to be rolled out across Scotland. The world-first scheme was piloted in Aberdeen.

A pack of 14 from Tesco £0.66 = 1.5 less fags a day! £500,000 = 10.6 million sanitary pads

Troo Bloo We have a 10% deficit in Scotland and the government want to increase it by giving freebies to people to buy votes, it is not right and the people who voted for this in Holyrood should pick up the cost.

British and in scotland I take it that to be consistent with its war on single use plastic products like supermarket bags, straws, cotton buds and coffee cups, our Scottish government will NOT be promoting the disposable variety of these products, which contain non-biodegradable parts, but washable, reusable alternatives? If not, why not?

So Hot Let’s not stop with sanitary for women, we also need food for all children under 8, drinks for all children under 12, razor blades for poor men, clothing for the homeless, shoes for the poor, food for the poor, cars for people who have to walk to work and free haircuts for the aged.

Med1aone So a charity is somehow going provide better access to a product that is available at every supermarket, corner shop and chemist in the country? I’ll bet the people dying across the country due to NHS and social care underfunding are delighted to see the money better spent.

Bordersjim2012 If they give away any more freebies, it will get to the stage where it’s not worth working as people get all they want for free !
