Laszlo signs Wardrop

Dundee United manager Csaba Laszlo believes Sam Wardrop can play a significant role next season after joining from Celtic.

Wardrop, 20, a former youth captain at Parkhead, agreed a two-year deal with United yesterday. The right-back’s capture follows the signing of left-back Callum Booth from Partick Thistle earlier in the week.

“Sam is an athletic and energetic defender who likes to get forward and attack the opposition,” said Laszlo. “I am pleased we have secured his signing. He will be an important part of the squad next season.”
