Conmen swindle pensioner out of hundreds in cash

Conmen swindled a pensioner out of more than £500 and abandoned her in the street.

Teresa Macdougall, 90, was targeted by two men at her home within sheltered housing in the Dennistoun area of Glasgow yesterday afternoon.

The men got into Ms Macdougall’s home and told her they would complete painting and decorating work. She accompanied them to a local post office and handed over the money to the men.

Police Scotland said inquiries into the incident are ongoing.
