In this special episode, Matt Baker meets the general manager of Glamis Castle, the ancestral home of the Queen Mother, where young Princess Elizabeth spent many summers as a child. Ellie Harrison visits Ballochbuie Forest, which is more than 7,000 years old, and includes Scots Pine trees over 500 years old. She also meets the Queen’s wildlife ranger to search for capercaillie and spends time with Balmoral’s head deer stalker.
Meanwhile, Anita Rani visits the Hebrides – where the Queen used to take her young family on the Royal Yacht Britannia – and visits the Isle of Gigha, which hosted a special royal visit in 2006, for the Queen’s 80th birthday. And Adam Henson discusses the Balmoral estate’s Highland cattle with the Queen’s stockman.

HISTORY Suffragettes with Lucy Worsley
This year marks a century since some women were allowed to vote in the UK. Here Worsley highlights some of the less well-known young working-class Suffragettes, including Annie Kenney and Mary Leigh. She examines what it was like for them being tracked by a special police unit, and explores the horrific prison conditions that these women experienced – as well as the dangerous and increasingly violent means to which they resorted in their fight for the vote.

Marking the first anniversary of the Grenfell Tower fire, this documentary tells the story of the disaster from the moment it began until the flames were brought under control 24 hours later. It focuses on survivors’ stories, using first-hand accounts from those living in and around the tower, plus testimony from those involved in the fire and rescue operation.
Starting at the first report of the blaze at 12:54am on 14 June, 2017 and continuing through to the moment the London Fire Brigade got the fire under control 24 hours later, the documentary provides a vivid insight into the tragedy.

Inevitably, 2-section finds itself on an unscheduled mission, this time to try and rescue abducted schoolgirls. ■
