Hope needed

-

World leaders need to rediscover how to provide ordinary people with hope and security, said Joyce Mcmillan.

The world owes no individual or nation a living. We survive and hopefully prosper individually by our willingness to work, by any talents or gifts we may have and the willingness of others to deem what we offer deserving of trade or reward.

If the system is so bad, why do so many people (including the workshy) aspire to be rich? Why do so many work hard to become richer? The aspiration to have wealth is what drives an economy. Regulations to deprive the rich only remove the incentive to generate wealth.

The super rich do indeed need to be reined in. There is nothing wrong with being massively wealthy but one must pay the appropriate duties in order to be allowed to sustain that wealth and income. Otherwise the authorities must bring them to heel by force.

This is what the Trump campaign was all about the unfairness of the system that rewarded bankers/elites while squeezing the ordinary workers. Most folks have seen their real earnings drop since 2008 while those that caused it, the politicians/ bankers/elites got off Scot free. [Joyce Mcmillan] should be supporting Trump instead of decrying him.
