Man treated in hospital after serious assault

A 35-year-old man has been taken to hospital after he was the victim of a serious assault.

Police Scotland believe three people were involved in the incident, which took place in South Street, Perth, at about 1.20am yesterday.

The victim was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee for treatment after suffering injuries to his head and body.

Police urge anyone with information to call 101.
