Two arrested in anti-terror inquiry

Two men were arrested by counter terrorism detectives after police received a report of suspicious items found at a property. A bomb disposal unit was sent to the address in Whitefield, Greater Manchester, following the report made shortly before 11:25am on Monday.

Examinations at the scene, which was cordoned off, have not revealed anything which appears to be explosives but two men in their 20s were arrested under the Terrorism Act (2000).
