Skypark to be managed by building consultancy

- By JANE BRADLEY

Glasgow’s Skypark development is to be managed by building consultancy firm Workman, three months after being sold to new owners.

The site, recently acquired by Hermes Investment Management, comprises six office buildings and three development sites. It joins a string of Scottish properties overseen by Workman, including Edinburgh’s Ocean Terminal shopping centre.

In addition to a range of serviced office space and meeting facilities, where it is home to more than 4,000 employees, Skypark has 695 parking spaces, an on-site cafe and the Four Seasons nursery. Workman will team up on the site with Resonance Capital, strategic advisers for the centre.

Jim Hallan, partner at Workman, said: “Skypark is a major step in Workman growing its presence in Scotland. As a national company with a strong focus on our regional capabilities, we have the experience of managing large schemes and knowledge of what local landlords and occupiers need.”
