Scottish trust raises £170m

The Baillie Giffordmanaged Scottish Mortgage Investment Trust has raised a further £170 million in long-term funding at 3 per cent a year to give it more firepower to take advantage of investment opportunities.

Chair Fiona Mcbain said the trust’s “track record of strong performance” has provided scope for additional borrowings at competitive rates to invest in future growth.
