Man dies after crash on Highland road

A man has died following a one-vehicle crash in the Highlands.

The 63-year-old was the only person in the Volvo V40 which crashed on the B9176 Struie road near Ardgay at around 3:30pm on Tuesday.

The road was closed while an investigation took place, and remained shut for structural examinations of a bridge on the route yesterday. Police are appealing for information.

Road policing officer Constable Kate Park said: “Our thoughts go out to the family of the driver who has sadly died in this collision.”
