Aaron Judge’s two-run homer broke a tie and helped lift the New York Yankees to a 3-0 win over the Toronto Blue Jays. Both sides were scoreless going in to the 13th inning, as Yankees starting pitcher Sonny Gray only allowed two hits in his eight innings while Toronto’s Sam Gaviglio went for seven innings without conceding a score. Judge’s 17th homer of the season put New York 2-0 up, before Giancarlo Stanton found the left-field fence and Aroldis Chapman got the save. A triple-double from Cleveland’s Lebron James was not enough as the Golden State Warriors moved within one win of a second consecutive NBA Finals victory. The Cavaliers moved swiftly out the blocks in the third game of the bestof-seven series, racing to a doubledigit lead in the first quarter and taking a six-point lead into half-time. But the Warriors rallied and were helped to a 110-102 win by 43 points from Kevin Durant, as the side took a 3-0 series lead. Durant effectively sealed the win with a three-pointer with less than 60 seconds left to play, while Steph Curry could not live up to his form in Game 2 as he only made one out of 10 three-point attempts. James led the scoring for the Cavs with 33, adding 10 rebounds and 11 assists at the Quicken Loans Arena. Golden State’s first chance to win the title comes tonight at the same court. NBA PLAY-OFF FINAL: Cleveland Cavaliers 102 Golden State Warriors 110 (Golden State lead best-of-seven series 3-0).
