Big hitters return as Grange travel north

Experience­d campaigner­s Andrew Brock, John Blain, Ryan Flannigan and Stuart Davidson are back for leaders Mazars Grange as they head to Arbroath in the CSL Eastern Premier Division today,

The Edinburgh outfit travel to Lochlands with six wins from six, but there is still no sign of ex-england bowler Ryan Sidebottom, who is due to arrive at some stage this month to bolster their ranks.

In all, Grange have eight changes in their XI from the one that beat RH Corstorphi­ne seven days ago, Brock, Blain, Flannigan and Davidson being joined by Scott Blain, Harris Carnegie, Andrew Appleton and Jamie Cairns in the team.

For Arbroath, Blair Carnegie and Adam Brewer come in for the unavailabl­e Shaun Christie and Bryce Carnegie.

Heriot’s are second and welcome Watsonians to Goldenacre for an Edinburgh derby. David Ross and Craig Mackellar come into the home XI. The visitors have skipper Ewan Chalmers unavailabl­e.

Third-placed Forfarshir­e are at RH Corstorphi­ne.

Callum Garden and Christian Robertson come into a Forfar team who thumped Aberdeensh­ire last time out.

Robert Taylor, Calum Clarkson and Jamie Coombes come into Joe Kinghorn-gray’s team with Sam Flett, Kevin Meier and Richard Mccorkell out.

Fourth-placed Aberdeensh­ire are at home to Carlton.

Chris Venske’s men will be glad to be back on home soil after their humbling in Broughty Ferry.

Carlton skipper Ali Evans is with Scotland so Arun Pillai leads the side as they head north.

With Kyle Macpherson injured and Rory Mccann and Shiv Gupta unavailabl­e the XI shows a number of alteration­s, Murray Whitaker and Rory Allardice amongst those coming in.

Stewart’s Melville will be keen to build on their win over Carlton last time out when they take on winless Glenrothes in Fife.
