Tight squeeze

-

Old men who are trying to relive their youth. They are past it. Paramedics were on standby just in case of a fatality.

Kabyle Sidiaich You must be joking! Their energy was unbelievable! Better being old than deid!

Andrena Graham You don’t seem to get the significance of the music to the audience who were there – pure magic to see them live as always.

Catherine Woodcock The paramedics were removing the youngsters who couldn’t handle the pace. Not a huge fan but my husband is, was a fantastic gig. They could put a lot of younger bands to shame.

Gillian Ogilvie The best laugh of the night was when Keith said “It’s lovely to be here . . . mind you, it’s lovely to be anywhere!” Fantastic!

Audrey Collins They were absolutely fantastic – definitely still the world’s greatest rock band. What a show.

Joyce Cameron I wasn’t there but I could hear it in Kingsknowe!

Lorraine Greig Young About time. You can’t even get out your gate for inconsiderate drivers thinking they have the right to park where they want.

Christine Hoggan Walker Some drivers couldn’t care less about folk being forced on the road – children, OAPS, mothers with prams and toddlers. Worst of all blind people. When I was young the streets were pretty clear of cars, now my same street has one family where the mum, dad, son and daughter all have cars. Dad and son have works cars and they could not care where they park.

Gladys Anne Stewart Why can’t they have a compromise like allowing parking on the pavement as long as there is at least a metre of space on the inside for pedestrians to pass? Why does it always have to be one extreme or the other?

James Miller Good. Drivers who think they are making it easier for other road users are forgetting about the people with prams, the disabled, the elderly and young children who have to put themselves in danger by going on to the road to get past their vehicle. and neither are functional as cars/vans/pick-ups are parked on them. It’s a short street and not very busy but everyone is forced to walk on the road and passing drivers think that you are in their way when you try to walk down or up the street.

Anna Sinicka But will it be enforced or is it going to be like so many other laws like driving and using your mobile?.

Christopher Arkle Bring back traffic wardens to enforce it, or it will just be another sign for folk to scoff at, much like not picking up dog poo and driving using your phone. Not all at the same time, obviously.
