Couple take prestigious prize
Well-known and widely acclaimed Blackface sheep breeders, Patsy and Ian Hunter, have been announced as the 2018 recipient of the Sir William Young Award, writes
Brian Henderson.
The award – which is one of the livestock industry’s most prestigious prizes – is made by the Royal Highland and Agricultural Society of Scotland and recognises outstanding contribution to livestock breeding and also commemorates the service to Scottish agriculture by the late Sir William Young.
Some 20 years ago, Patsy’s father, Graham Mcclymont, also won the award – a first for a father and daughter to both be a recipient.
