Scotland’s total household wealth has exceeded the £1 trillion barrier for the first time, but is unevenly distributed and behind the rest of the UK, a report said.

Exactly, anything that demands expenditure in the form of tax, maintenance, and insurance could be considered a liability rather than an asset on a balance sheet.

The real question is: has the wealth gap closed in the reign of the SNP? I think it probably has, despite severe limitations on its control of financial levers etc.

Do you have proof of that? Given that for a century, under Unionist control, Scots have traditionally moved south because of lack of opportunity.
