Paedophile football coach faces jail again

A paedophile football coach faces being back behind bars after admitting a string of sexual abuse charges on six young boys.

Robert Smith, 69, abused boys between nine and 15-years-old while he was trusted as a football coach in Easterhouse, Glasgow.

Four of his victims went to the police after Smith was jailed in 2016 for abusing three boys he coached At Glasgow Sheriff Court pled guilty to four charges of using lewd and libidinous practices and two charges of indecent assault, between April 1965 and August 1984. His sentence was deferred.
