Jimmy enjoying being the show society’s ‘big cheese’

-

On top of the honour of serving as society chairman at the Highland show, Jimmy Warnock yesterday enjoyed sampling the country’s first triplechampion cheese sandwich.

The sandwich was concocted from the winning entries in the bread, butter and cheese sections of the Scottish food awards which took place at the show. It was made from a sourdough bread from Woodlea Stables bakery in Fife, a cheddar cheese made from Ayrshire milk from The Inverloch Cheese Company and churned Jersey salted butter from Graham’s the Family Dairy, all of which had been judged cham- pion in their respective sections.

Commenting on the task, Jimmy said: “It is brilliant to see such incredible food being produced in Scotland.”
