#TRIDENT

Labour will not reverse its decision to keep Britain’s Trident nuclear deterrent, the shadow Defence Secretary has said. @Warmongerhodges posted: “So where are the demands for a membership vote on it by Eddie Marsan and ‘Sir’ Tony Robinson?” @prixpics wrote: “I thought Nia was superb this morning. As for Trident, Len Mccluskey wants Trident. @Michaellcrick reminded me of that. @tom_watson has written about the need to build more naval ships and the threat of Putin. The Tories talk about defence but cannot deliver. Labour delivers.” @wneilgrobertson said: “Watched Andrew Marr and still have no idea of where Labour is on defence or Trident or Brexit – and appalled that Jeremy Hunt was allowed to slip off the hook over unfunded spending on the NHS and get away...”

#BREXIT

Two years after the EU Referendum, a march calling for a so-called “people’s vote” on the UK’S deal to leave the EU drew in excess of 100,000 people to London, said organisers. @pka1984 tweeted: “The cabinet office door is now covered in bollocks to Brexit stickers... #Peoplesvotemarch.” Controversial co-founder of Vote Leave @ Douglascarswell posted: “I suspect this people’s march thing is more a demonstration of weakness than strength. Planned to coincide with failure of EU Withdrawal Bill to pass into law – which never happened. Planned to coincide with Project Fear Mk 2. Which is seen as just that. ” While journalist @Djack_ Journo said: “We had a people’s vote two years ago – 17.4m people voted to leave and the Tories pledged in their manifesto to honour their wishes. Enjoy your march #Brexit.”

#GOTWEDDING

Kit Harington and Rose Leslie, better known to Game of Thrones fans as Jon Snow and Ygritte, were married at a castle in Scotland on Saturday. @daffodil_kate said: “Why isn’t Kit Harrington and Rose Leslie’s wedding being televised, that’s the royal wedding I wanna see.” Character account @ Ygrittethewild tweeted: “’You’re mine. Mine, as I’m yours.’ #Gameofthrones #Gotwedding.”
