Police start clampdown on youth drinking
Police have launched an operation in a bid to crack down on underage drinking in Stirling this summer.
Operation Steadfast will begin tomorrow and will run until 29 July.
Officers will carry out joint patrols with council counterparts in Stirling’s city centre, including Friars Street, Baker Street, Back Walk and Murray Place.
Both agencies are looking to address youth drinking and anti-social behaviour as well as other crime which tends to increase over the summer, such as acquisitive crime and violence.
