Woman, 75, dies after her car runs off road

A woman has died after her car came off the A862 in the Highlands.

The accident happened about 4:25pm yesterday close to Beauly, about 13 miles west of Inverness.

Police Scotland said the 75-year-old was the sole occupant of the car.

No other vehicle was involved.

A police spokesman said: “Our thoughts are with her family and friends at this time.”

A 21-year-old man has also died after a twovehicle crash on the A835 near Tarvie, Ross-shire, at about 6.25pm on Sunday.
