Skin and scale fragments taken from Loch Ness
No traces of the Loch Ness Monster have been found by an international research team testing samples of water from the famous loch.
Microscopic fragments of animal skin and scales were found floating on the surface of the water.
Samples were taken from around the loch and from up to 200m down.
New species of life, particularly bacteria, could be discovered through DNA analysis of the samples.
Scientists have claimed there may be a “biologicial explanation” for Nessie, despite not finding any evidence of here.
