Allan Massie says Scotland coach will take heart from watching his team bounce back from defeat in Houston

Kyles Athletic are going for six in a row when they face Oban Camanachd in the Scottish Sea Farms Glasgow Celtic Society Cup final atthetaynuiltsportsfield,

It is a repeat of last year’s final, which Kyles won 3-1. Kyles have Callum Miller fit again but Roddy Macdonald is a major doubt after landing awkwardly on his shoulder against Lovat last weekend. Oban Camanachd’s Malcolm Clark has an eye injury, Daniel Sloss has an ankle knock and Lorne Dickie has a broken nose but two of the three could yet play.

Kinlochshiel host Kingussie at Kirkton in the Artemis Macaulay Cup quarter-finals. ‘Shiel’s Keith Macrae is receiving treatment for a knee injury whilst John Macrae should recover from a back injury. Defender Robert Mabon made his Kingussie comeback as a substitute last week.

Lovat play Glenurquhart at Balgate in the other north quarter-final. Drew Howie remains on the Lovat injury list whilst Glenurquhart could have Finlay Ralston back.

Fort William, without the suspended Graham Campbell, play Beauly in a Marine Harvest National Division clash at An Aird. Glasgow Mid Argyll’s meeting with league leaders Kilmallie at Yoker will be rescheduled following the passing of Kilmallie stalwart Hamish Graham.
