Lyle signs on at Balmoor

Peterhead manager Jim Mcinally has been able to bring the experienced striker on board that he craved by signing former Queen of the South forward Derek Lyle.

The 37-year-old, who is the Doonhamers’ third highest ever goalscorer after finding the net 117 times, put pen to paper at Balmoor yesterday.

Mcinally said: “I wanted a goalscorer to play alongside Rory Mcallister and I have that in Derek. It is a big signing for us.”
