Designer Flora Collingwood-norris
What’s the last piece of clothing you bought?
A gorgeous little pinafore dress, with huge pockets, which was designed and made in London by Phannatiq. I love things that look great, but are practical and versatile. I’m trying to consume less, so I look for more than just aesthetics from each piece that I buy.
What are you addicted to buying?
At the moment, anything that’s traceable and handmade.
Best ever bargain?
A couple of Karen Millen dresses that I found in charity shops. Both fit as if they were made for me.
Who has great style?
Emma Watson, Livia Firth and founder of People Tree, Safia Minney. They always look great while wearing ethical clothing.
Name your favourite high street shop.
Probably Anthropologie, as they always have something interesting and colourful.
Any fashion disasters you’d care to tell us about?
I rarely have to dress outside my comfort zone of casual work wear, but when I do I either feel like I’ve dressed up too much or not enough.
What’s your favourite item in your wardrobe?
An old embroidered top that was my mum’s. It’s older than me and must have been handmade. n
