Woman cut free from car after lorry collision

A pensioner has been airlifted to hospital following a collision with a lorry on the A9 near Dunkeld.

The woman had to be cut free from the wreckage by fire crews after the crash at around8:30amonmond­ay morning near the Dalguise junction.

She was later transferre­d to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee. Her injuries are not thought to be lifethreat­ening.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue spokeswoma­n said: “Firefighte­rs removed the roof of the car to assist with the removal of a female casualty, who was passed on to ambulance crews.”
